DEEP TECH INNOVATORS TALK
AT THE G20 SUMMIT, 2023
IISc
Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, and 72 delegates from G20 countries visited the Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on February 25, 2023. An event “Walk the Talk: Policy in action” took place in IISc to witness the current tech-innovations and entrepreneurships working towards cost-effective and scalable solutions to scientific challenges faced by G20 member countries. The startups incubated at IISc were allowed to showcase their
products wherein Dr. Hardik J Pandya and Arjun BS participated. The honourable minister of finance and corporate affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman visited the stall put up for the intradermal injection “EpiSHOT” and appreciated the efforts.

‪Professor Hardik J Pandya delivered a talk on “Microengineered Devices and Electronic Systems for Advanced Healthcare Technologies” at the James McKelvey School of Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis on December 15, 2022.
KUDOS FOR THE SUN PHARMA SCIENCE FOUNDATION SCHOLAR AWARD
Arjun BS was declared a winner at the Sun Pharma Science Foundation 2022 for his research work titled “Towards an indigenous intraoperative probe integrated with MEMS-based sensors for brain tumor delineation” held at New Delhi on December 4, 2022.
KEYNOTE LECTURE AT AIIMS MANGALAGIRI
‪Professor Hardik J Pandya delivered a keynote address on “The Technology & Healthcare Handshake” at AIIMS Mangalagiri Research Conference for Anusandhan “Biomedical Research: addressing the challenges through collaboration” for two days i.e. 18th-19th November, 2022.

Arjun BS delivered a talk on “Application of Mechanical Engineering in Biomedical Devices” at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, St. Thomas Institute for Science & Technology, Trivandrum, Kerala on November 19, 2022.
JAMES DYSON AWARD FOR DESIGN ENGINEERING
Two of our teammates Arjun BS and Ajay Krishnan A were chosen for the national James Dyson Award for designing an innovative intradermal injection called “EpiShot.” The award was given to them in a ceremony held in Delhi on November 5, 2022.
INVITED TALK AT THE INDIAN SOCIETY OF LIFESTYLE MEDICINE HEALTHCARE
‪Professor Hardik J Pandya was invited to deliver a lecture on “Advanced Healthcare Technologies” at the 3rd International Conference organized by the Indian Society of Lifestyle Medicine Healthcare with the theme “lifestyle medicine-redefining healthcare” for two days i.e. 5th-6th November 2022.
INVITED TALK AT AN INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP IN SRINAGAR
‪Professor Hardik J Pandya visited the Department of Surgery, GMC Srinagar for 2 days i.e. 28th-29th October 2022. He was invited as a speaker for an International Workshop on the theme “role of artificial intelligence and information technology in surgery and medical research.” His topic of talk was “Micro Engineered Devices & Systems.”

The School of Pharmacy, Temple University in Philadelphia invited Dr. Hardik J Pandya to share his experience and knowledge on the topic “Towards Microengineered Devices and Systems for Translational Biomedical Research” on October 13, 2022.
IEEE EMBC INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING IN MEDICINE AND BIOLOGY CONFERENCE AT GLASGOW, SCOTLAND
Arjun BS presented a paper entitled “A System-based Approach for the Evaluation of Electromechanical Properties of Brain Tumors” at the 44th IEEE EMBC International Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference at Glasgow, Scotland from July 11-15, 2022. He received the SERB International Travel Grant for attending the same.
